Nacida el día 5 de Abril en Vancouver, Thea se graduó con honores en Interpretación y Teatro en la Universidad de Toronto. Desde entonces se ha dedicado a la actuación, con ocasionales actuaciones como cantante de jazz en diversos lugares de Cánada.
